a bit of over exaggerating but I just can't stand the commercials they put on the Channels they put on for free like the MBC and "Unofficial" Fox Channels that are owned by the Rotana thing (The Channel with the logo that rips off the Sony Ericsson Logo).

I believe They put more commercials than they put shows or movies on. which is kinda fucked up to be honest.

I guess this is how they stay on Free TV but COME ON!

I don't know about you (The Readers) but My Internet Connection is really slow these days. I get random disconnects, Facebook and Hotmail take ages to load, and playing online is a total lag-fest!

I for one have had enough of their shitty "BroadBand". For Fuck's Sake IT'S NOT EVEN BROADBAND!!

1MBPS?! it's more like 20KBPS!!

Honestly they are ripping us off and charging too much for a shitty, slow, unreliable Internet Connection >=(

Before you say anything like "Change your ISP" or something similar, let me point out that Changing ISPs at our house is not a good option at the moment.....well......has never been a good moment. We we're gonna change our ISP to Zain@Home but we didn't. we thought about Mena Telecom and again, we didn't.
Sure they have better speeds and cheaper prices. but what I would like in Bahrain is a FUCKING FIBER OPTICS CONNECTION!!

I don't want this shitty gimmicky wireless shit. it just makes it too expensive and not worth it.

I just think that WiMax is just a bunch of shit.

Take a look at STC in Saudi Arabia. I checked their plans and prices online and I found out that they pay around 310 Saudi Riyals a month for a 20MB Connection!!!

You See?! NOW THAT'S A FUCKING GREAT DEAL!

Even though it has a Bandwith Limit, IT'S STILL A GREAT FUCKING DEAL!
unlike this shit 1MB connection which isn't 1 MB. we pay BD 50 a month for this shitty connection. IT'S TIME TO FUCKING MOVE ON DAMMIT!

The Good news is that STC are going to bring their Phone and Internet connections to Bahrain.
The Bad news is that Prices are still unannounced (and I hope they are cheap like Saudi)



oh and let me get to the good part.

you see, Batelco are getting desperate. they know right now that people are subscribing to Zain and Mena Telecom. so with their evil plans to dominate the ISP mountain in Bahrain, They have decided to give away Free PSPs to people who subscribe to them or Upgrade their connection.

People are gonna get suckered in. Hook, Line and Sinker. Batelco Gives their new customers or customers who upgrade a free Playstation Portable, and the customers pay their outragous prices!

I'm telling you, People will buy into this plan of theirs......

Internet Censorship and You!

....you saw it coming. Of course, one of the main reason I was convinced to make a blog was to rant about the shit that's happening in my life and this is one of them.

Internet Censorship. We have never though we'd see this day until now....in Bahrain anyway :/
So..from my knowledge, I believe this is how it went:

The Ministry of Information decided that now is the right time to block "Immoral" stuff that lurk on the Information Superhighway (your guess is as good as mine. Porno.). Now, I don't mind Porn being blocked (but I know many people do and they do whatever it takes to get their Poon (yes, Poon) on their Computer Screens). but the Idea of starting this Internet Censorship shit now is a really really strange idea. I mean, The internet was brought to our glorious land of Dilmun (was in the mood lawl XD) around 10 years ago or more (correct me if I'm wrong.) and now in the year Two Thousand and Fucking Nine, they started the Censorship!
OK. The real reason that made my piss boil in my Urinary System was the idea of blocking things other than Porno. Which is....Deviantart.com!

If you are reading this now, you will probably say "but Deviantart was unblocked so why rant about it?". Let me get to the point on how FUCKING MAD I WAS WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT THE SITE I USE TO GET AWESOME WALLPAPERS, LOOK AT AWESOME ART AND FLASH ANIMATIONBY CREATIVE PEOPLE, etc...... WAS BLOCKED BY THE FUCKING GOVERNMENT!!!!!
Tell me, WHAT THE FUCK WAS WRONG WITH THAT SITE ANYWAY?!
WAS THERE PORN IN IT?! (I recall seeing some Nude art but most artists flag it as Mature and they only way you will see it is if you create an account with the Age above 18 BUT THAT'S NOT THE FUCKING POINT!!)
WAS THERE ANYTHING OFFENSIVE TO THE GOVERNMENT?!
WAS THERE ANYTHING IMMORAL ABOUT IT?!?

A lot of people complained to GDN (Gulf Daily News) about Deviantart.com being blocked and most of them were artists who have their arts posted on the site. people can get tools for Photoshop like brushes or whatever. After all the hate mail, The Ministry decided to Unblock Deviantart.com from the clutches of the stupid, fucking ugly, Blue, White, Red Screen of Putrid Monkey Shizz.......ok......that was pretty nasty...I'm sorry. >__>


Seriously....let me get to the real point why the whole Internet Censorship started in Bahrain. it actually started a few years ago. The Ministry blocked sites that are I think Anti-Government or Freedom of Speech sites..I don't really know the whole story but that's what I know in my knowledge. anyway, They decided to block those websites once and for all. and hey, why not remove all those nasty websites aswell?. also, why not remove those stupid humor sites that are pretty much pointless to exist on the Internet and is a waste of time for our people to sit hours and hours watching some video about some dancing 3D baby or any shit like that!

Believe me......they will go there.......I would not be surprised if they blocked Newgrounds, YouTube (They already blocked videos flagged 18+ so I bet they're also gonna block the whole thing!), Mini-Clip....actually.......they can have Mini-Clip since it's pretty much a piece of shit anyway :/
back to what I think they think about Censoring the Internet in Bahrain:

THERE WILL BE FUCKING CHAOS EVERYWHERE!!!

But not to worry. There exist OVER 9000 (see what I did there?) ways to bypass THAT FUCKING SCREEN and that's Proxy!
